A: We will only euthanize an animal that is severely ill – with no chance of recovery – or extremely aggressive with people and other animals. We never euthanize animals based on space constraints or because the animal has been here too long.

however, other kenals will and do...sadly...i actually saw on tv a shelter in canada (government shelter) that was putting down 50 dogs every 3 days (all types) why...simply because of size constraints (a cockerspaniel was being put to sleep on the program i saw...it was soo sad).

I acutally donate the THS monthly and pretty much the only reason i choose them...they don't euthanize animals unless needed based on the two things at the top of this.

Simple answer.......don't vote for this government again. If they don't want to listen to the voters, then they shouldn't get voted in. IMO

while licensing may help (but i highly doubt it) it will cause another problem.

you think shelters are crowded now? what do you think will happen it people have to take classes and get a license to own a dog? my guess a lot of people will will not get dogs.

so instead of a shelter putting 50 dogs to sleep a day, it'll be 100.
either way a lot of dogs are gonna get killed.

i agree with ERTW about protecting children though. while im persoally not in favour of this new law, a childs life is more important than a dogs.

if i have to go to quebec or winnipeg....to get a pitbull...then thats what im going to do....i officially am going on stike....and the PM will hear about this......i cant vote....but all i hear is people complaining about this and that, and still vote for the party that keeps on doing this.....its time for a change....make your vote count and actually mean something
