buying iphone from US
i am planning to buy some iphones from US next week, anyone know that if there is limit quantity i can buy? let say if i going to buy 6-8 sets...
any problem if i bring it back to Canada/across the border? i will report and pay the tax when i come back and across the border.....

you can only buy two with pay with credit card or giftcard only. Try and buy three the manger will make you fill out a form and someone from apple will call you the next day saying no you can't.
You can buy one at one time w/o any problems with cash however. (and no you can't do a bunch of single sales at one time either)
Isn't the iphone being release here very soon anyways?
BTW With AT&T you have to sign up on a plan, or have an existing plan when you buy.

I bought a few iphone at various apple stores when I was in LA, CAli during Christmas. At the apple store you can buy it outright for just over $400 and change. However it's locked to the At&t network.
Ask to buy one or two phones only say ones for you and a your g/f (or make up some other BS story for small talk with the clerk.) DO NOT TELL THEM YOUR FROM CANADA When I was buying some at one location my wife mentioned we were from Canada and it all went down hill from there. Each store is instructed in not to sell iphones to Canadians customers.
