CAA and Sunoco affiliation ends Dec 31 2007

Anybody care? I do. I have CAA plus and found it beneficial to go to Sunoco and get CAA points. Where my renewal would cost 150 + because wife is covered as well, this year it cost me 52 instead.

So if you are like me and use to go partly because you earned CAA points, will you continue to go or it really doesn't matter.

I will because Sunoco is very close to my house, but I think I may visit shell more often and collect on my air mile points.

As my son would say

with basic u get 10km free and after that its like 2.75 a km

with gold or plus u get like 150km free per tow

and I think its like 6 tows a year, free door unlock, battery boosts, flat changes etc

its good when u have an older or modded car or wear nice clothes alot so u dont have to muck around changing a tire in a suit

Yeah, I haven't had to use it, but it's always good to know it's there, especially when I was doing lots of drives to Montreal. I figure if I needed a tow, I was covered going either way.

Too bad they ended their relationship with Sunoco, that was bonus getting the CAA points from it. I don't remember what the new companies they are hooked up with, I got the letter last week, but if I remember right, I wasn't impressed with who they had. I think it was because I probably wouldn't use those services much....

Collecting CAA points was incentive to go to Sunoco. I suppose now it doesn't really matter which station to go to, but just like a lot of people have said, Sunoco is close in proximity, so that's generally a factor.

Wouldn't be without CAA...good for getting free maps (with the construction zones listed on them!), as well as the other benefits mentioned above.

your car arms automatically?

it would be almost impossible for me to lock my keys in the car. 1. i arm my car manually. 2. even if i didnt, i'd have to lock the driver side with the actually key.

hahaha as your son would say

I am annoyed CAA is no longer affiliated with Sunoco (come December obviously).

For CAA Plus, it saved me some coin as I primarily fill up at Sunoco.

Yep, and having the two vehicles, we always fill up at Sunoco too. Getting CAA points was bonus, one year my renewal was 11 bucks. So much for my aspirations of one day getting my membership for free......................

Pioneer and Petro Can's are my close stations so the move doesn't bother me. I just wish Petro Can would have a carwash close so I could use my point for that.
