Nothing is perfect. You can't honestly sit there and say the government is doing a good job. Yes we have all that you mentioned, but don't think for a minute that we could never lose heathcare. There needs to be change in the way the government operates and to stop them from spending our tax money for lavish things that we seem to find out after the person or persons in charge are no longer in power.

Yes, I still love living here, but there has to be some change and only us as Canadians have to stand up and do something instead of taking it in the *** all the time.

i totally agree with ya, but my comments were mainly directed for those jus bitching saying how crappy it is and how they'd wanna live sumwhere else. Canada is amazing for making money, go sumwhere such as europe and find a decent paying job. aint gunna happen

i immensly despise one thing about canada

the fact that we allow immigrants from all over to come in and change the established values within society.

my parents are immigrants, but they adapted.

'different' cultures are allowed additional rights and freedoms which should not be the case if we are all truly equal.

why can a man wear a turban in a court, while i cannot wear a head dress of my choosing?

a woman wanting to wear her muslim cowl and scarf or whatever around her face for a driver's license photo should not even be an issue. if she can wear that to a bank, i should be allowed to wear a ninja mask to the bank. i don't see the difference in regards to rights and freedoms.

my religion, brucefeeism tells me that i have to carry a gun and spit in the face of all who refuse to kneel before me. is canada going to grant me the human rights i deserve?

witin a 5 minute drive, i can go to three different malls, where i will not understand the majority of the writing on signs for the stores. I used to get dirty looks, but now they're used to round eye infiltrating the dragon centre.

canada has a national holiday for christmas.. yet my university made me write an exam on christmas eve at 4pm, while the whole school is given a day off for jewish holidays?

i have no problem with people keeping their traditions. I have a problem with people expecting others to bend over backwards to meet their desires.

It's like going to a hardcore muslim country and expecting them to open up a strip club with alcohol for locals.

---

regarding taxation and government stupidity, you're going to get that anywhere.. at least my taxes don't go towards bombing countries. i'd rather see them wasted on political hookers and coke.

i'd like to move to a country like sweden.. but i find the relationships i have with friends and family too important to be valued over money and government.

cant add anything to that perfectly said

i used to agree with that logic, until i tried to move to the states myself... its hard to get in... i would love to move to the states, so to all the people that say, "if you dont like it, move" give me a way to do it, and i will gladly leave
