The biggest problem with all of you who have had bad experiences with shops and mechanics is you keep going to different places to have work done. Getting your car fixed is like going to the doctor. You need to find a good one who knows what they are doing and then keep going back to them all the time. How many of you would pay a little extra to know that your car is being taken care of and that the repairs will be done correctly ever time??? I would have to assume all of you would. I have been in the automotive bussiness almost 10 years and nothing pisses me off more than people ragging on CTC or anyother shop because of poor work. Quit you bitching and go find a good mechanic to do the repairs and stick with him where ever he goes. Most good mechanics will help you out, especially if you are a good custome to them. I know I help out ever one of my GOOD customers, I want to keep them happy for years to come as they are my only source of income ie. flat rate. A good mechanic is worth his weight in gold, find em and keep em.

true.....i went to CT for alinement, cause my guy doesnt do that...anyways it turns out that my front lower controle arms were bent...CT wanted $1200 to fix all that had to be fixed....i went back to my guy and he charged me $250(parts/labour)...hes the best mechanic out there and i wouldnt go any where else unless he cant do the job himself....a good mechanic is hard to find, and when you do find one never go anywhere else....ive been going to the same shop for about 6 years....over the years hes save me a couple grand compared to other shops(ive looked around) and he does a way better job then most of them to.

never heard about a reverse grind with SS. u dont usualy have to put it in first unless your syncros are gone. seems like u knew what was going to happen. so much so that u cud have written this story before. good thing u learned that u need to do it properly and not just desparation attempts
