I can't set my mp3s as ringtones...i have a moto krzr locked to rogers

would unlocking it solve this issue? or can i bypass it?

i thought motorola had a program that allows u to convert and transfer mp3s and make em ringtones...also allowing u to cut out part of the song..."motorola phone tools"... i got the program with my SLVR when i had that... mayb see if u can find that program on the net and see if that works?

Im pretty sure u have to have it unlocked to use MP3s as ringtones
if you dont want to get it unlocked it, just convert the file to a wav and you should be good

lol no...motorola phone tools download it u'll prob have to pay but im sure u can find it else where no need to unlock the phone :S that jus allows u to use different gsm providers other than rogers which would be fido...ne ways Motorola Phone Tools thats ur answer

download moto phone tools, i have it on a krzr too and it works awesome to setting songs (mp3) as ring tones.

it should be free...just make sure u have the cable to plug it in to the computer

if it is a rogers branded phone they lock out user set mp3 ring tones...they started doing this with a second batch of w810i a couple years ago and now pretty much every single phone in the line up are locked out of user uploaded mp3 ringtones....for many phones there are work arounds such as saving them as mp4 files, drm packaging them, making sure they are under a certain size (<300kb) etc...any rogers purchased moto I have I debrand pretty much as soon as I get it to get all that rogers junk off it and let me have more freedom

mine is from rogers and i can still put mp3 ringtones using moto phone tools.

yes, moto phone tools isnt a free program and rogers takes that cd out of the retail packaging...but of course its "free" from the internet

how could i tell if the n95 is an n95-4 and not a -3 or something?

ummm...the box says it, the phone says it...the n95-4 doesnt have expandable memory...ummm...why u want one? I think I might sell mine hahaha.
