Can't take it no more!

Well, im sick of our government and its A## raping laws, I’d say for a part-time university student, I make decent amount of money per annum, but wtf is the point for me to have all that when im worrying about tickets and payments and barely have enough to save.

I had just come back from the court paying a parking ticket, got it in an underground office parking downtown; apparently my rear tire was in the other parking space, that was reserved. Anyways I got the ticket reduced but still had to pay a certain amount, I come home, find out my car parked outside my house has a ticket, NEW fkin Bylaw says I can't park my car from 2am to 6am in front of my own damm house, wtf, I have 5 cars I don't have space, and wtf happens from 2am to 6am, sure as heck the priminister is not going to pass by. And no one new about the by law, everyone got tickets.

Wtf, we have gayer and gayer laws by the boat load, im sick of worrying about driving on the road, parking, leaving my car, what a headache.

What’s worse im driving to the court for this by-law ticket, and I get pulled over, cop, says, my plates are covered, im laughing at this point like Jesus, “snow” he gave me a ticket for that. So in 2 days I rack up $300 of tickets, and this is not me, its my friends too, and my parents and sister as well, people are saying the reason for this is that the police as a lot more regulation power then last year, and new cities will have a lot of enforced laws, and bylaws, that will require the residents to buy permits, I mean what’s next I’ll need a permit, to take a **** in my own house.

Is there a way to counter bylaw a bylaw? And why is it when I ask these same idiots giving the ticket, why, what was the reason for the bylaw, they say the same ish, because its a "by law" where the fk is my charter of rights, and freedom for information?

is the first step towards a police state!

my rear tire was on the line, its a bit taking it too seriously, i think. And the parking lots are tight.

as for the plates they were frozen, my car was clean, or cleaned off, unlike the million people out there who forget to clean the roof, i brush off all the snow, all lights aswell, if i remember correctly, the cops car had more snow on its rear then i did, "Power currupts" he was being a dick, trying to make his quota.

if you are thinking im careless its quite the opposite, and what gets me is this, why do i get hit with these tickets, when there are far worse careless people out there.

Wow...that is kinda ****y. All those tickets at once. Sorry to hear that dude, but, I don't think there is much we can do about a bylaw as far as parking enforcement and stuff. However that last one you got for having your license plate covered is bogus I must admit - with the snow storm we had today, they should be a little forgiving with that cause you can drive on the highway for 10 minutes and have your entire rear end covered in snow...I've had that happen before.

^^ thanks man, i agree, the plate thing was just off.

im so confused, what am i going to do now, i mean, we should have atleast gotten a warning, we have parked there since September, and then one day you come home and there is a new bylaw ticket, wow, way to go, "shoot the guy in the back, who pays taxes and follows laws" .

shoulda stayed in the bigger house. semi-detached are a pain. The thing is too, we can't get rid of the cars, we had 7, now 5 for everyone in the family, so yea, lol i have to move the car every night from 2am till the city truck goes away.

I'm not sure where you live. I'm not too sure about Toronto laws. If you live in york region the bylaw has always been there. Also, just because you got away for parking on the street without problems for the longest time. It doesn't make it legal or right in any way.

Your family should have gotten your driveway extended knowing that you had 5 cars to begin with. You can widen the driveway. My family did that back in 1993 when we bought the house. It has to get approval from the city first though. My driveway now can fit one more additional car than your standard 2 garage door house.

I do disagree with the license plate ticket you got. It does sound like BS to me as well.

Sometimes life sucks, but if you do break the law, don't expect to get away with it.

btw, I got 6 cars in my house, we can fit 7 on the driveway if we really needed to. No cars on the parked on the street.

That's a little harsh to say. But, the idea is just be thankful your car wasn't towed away or something worse like that...cause then you'd be in the hole for more money out of your pocket. There isn't anything you can really do unless you can apply for a parking permit for your street. I've known people who live downtown toronto who do that cause they've got 3 cars but, only 1 car driveway. Maybe doing some research and asking around in your area to see if it's possible. I don't think any of us here will be able to help you with your tickets but, maybe you can help yourself from getting them in the future. Ask around in your municipality...it never hurts to ask.

Permits are good ideas if you live in Toronto. My sister has to get one, because she's got 2 cars, no driveway, and a 1 car garage in the back of the house.

show me how i can park 5 cars on a extended 3 car single garage lot.lol

we went from a 3 garage to 1, because, by the end of the year it'll be just my parents living there, and we couldn't really handle the big house since everyone was working 24/7. But now we have this mess.lol

These are the new homes in Maple, nice but fkd up, some houses are big but 2 garage,in stead of 3 garage, some are tiny with 2 garages, some are the size of two garage homes but have one garage.lol we noticed that in this community.
