car theft conspiracy
well as many ppl are bringing up there is alot of civic and integra theft going on lately. also its intereasting how you find ppl parting out complete itrs gsrs and sirs in mint shape. perhaps someone is stealing vehicles and selling them here in our very own civic brother/sisterhood. i dont know if this has been brought up before, and i am mildly insane but its possible.
if anyone wants to support me or rip on me feel free to

its a possibility you know. You cant be 100% sure when buying used stuff..im always sketchy of ads by newbies stating "brand new motor, dont know much about the mileage or anything $1500" ..or the people with 1 post who surprisingly have joined TCC just in time to completely part out their car.
remember: if its too good to be true....

its a well known fact.
90 percent of the motors sold are stolen.
its demand vs. supply....
there is no way in hell possible that over 50 thousand eg hatches have b series motor in them. like seriously what happened to those 50 thousand cars that originally happened to them,
also people thinkink jdm motors are are save bet you must be on crack. less than 10 percent of the motor are legit everyone other motor from japan and surrounding area's are stolen and then shipped over. reason? demand vs. supply.
also prices in japan have skyrocketed for their garbage (jdm parts) because they know that they garbage is actually praised in North America so its really hard to actually purchase parts and have them actually sold at a profitable rate so thats when hot motors get shipped over for fraction of the cost.
Can this board do anything about stolen parts being sold? Nope.
why? cuz its too complicated of a job to do and not worth it and no one would take up a job like that when they are getting paid nothing.
Imo if people are willing to actually pay retail prices for items rather then buy stolen parts then the market of stolen items being sold will come to a halt. until then things will continue to be stolen and there is nothing u or i can do to stop it.

this board has a lot of dishonest people
my friend was going to buy some AGX's off someone, it turns out one of them was blown and the guy selling them sucked at lying.
he wasnt even surprised when we told him
there was clear marks where the oil leaked out (it was cleaned off but not 100%)
and some people, just plain suck at lying, its not hard to spot a liar
i've also come across some people who lie in thier ads, and you find out the truth when you meet them up, and then all the time u spent getting there and gas is wasted.
and i can guarantee that there is a crapload of stolen **** here.
if i was to steal something, this is the FIRST place i'd go to sell it.

exactly, is it not suspiscous that someone would go about completely parting out a gsr, if you were "going back to stock'' why would you sell your stock powertrain intereior and body parts?

^ team rukus is right.
every forum, even the nerdy cellphone and computer forums, have a lot of stolen goods, TCC is no different, infact i bet it has way more.
its pretty easy to make money stealing and selling junk here

As a byproduct of all of this, you get more ****ty sellers, guys that back out on you or try to sell you crap parts.
I think a board can do its part by restricting who can post on the classfieds by way of a minimum post count. That at least stops the flow of "get registered and start selling users."
Maybe also getting rid of accounts that have been dormant for say one year? Maybe send out a warning email first then actual deletion?
Anyone with me on this?

I think the biggest n easiest place to see that, is with newbies putting up audio equipment for sale, I think thas the easiest stuff to steal and post...an engine might take a bit especially without the right tools.
Thats why tcc says, Buyers beware!.. I mean you do business at your own risk...if ur too dumb to check if the item is running and get fooled by the nice and "honest" ontime seller...well then u deserve to be ripped off.
u gotta smarten up...if its a big buy...like an engine or something. Get it in writing...get a witness(u'd be smart by bringing a mechanic and not your gf), get it all signed and make sure you state in there that if the engine does not work after a perfect install or does something that the seller said it wouldnt do..then uget your money back..
AT THE SAME TIME! I think we are all forgetting that it is not alwayz the seller that cheats, dont u think its easy to buy **** off with fake bills? some bills are soo good that the lil 20 green part even shines... and then what if they say that your product was faulty and return you a look alike..or a broken product? both sides gotta smarten up..Meet at a bank at which the buyer has an account...tell him u want the cash withdrawn from the bank..yea it sounds bitchy but atleast u wont be the sad lil kid who just lost 2Gs on a car deck or something...even worse u get booked when u try to use that cash to deposit lol.
There are alotta things you can do to make the buy/sell process safer ...but I aint gonna list it all out. Use ur head.
hope this thread opens up some eyes and gets ppls brains working a bit.
Dont trust anyone but yourself....unless ur one of those duel personality ppl...then u cant trust anyone lol.
