I'd understand you being upset if... he was lying. It's no secret that this festival attracts violence. It's not the first time innocent people have been hurt. It's supposed to be a party, a good time. It's a shame that the violence has become part of it's image. I think that Caribana needs to follow through with a few solid clean years before the negative comments regarding safety are put aside by the general public/media.

i encourage people to go, don't have to ... but it's quite fun, due to the high police presence nothing won't happen .. people have smartened up over the years lol
as for the Caribana After Party's and such, you can expect a shooting, stabbing or somethin

So is that your way of saying that it's acceptable because as long as people are getting shot in the face and it isn't you.. it's ok? Saying there is violence everywhere is a cop out answer. There really isn't violence everywhere. I go through everyday without having to deal with it.

well for 6-7 years now caribana has went on without anyone getting shot or w/e. and what happened a while ago with someone getting shot was provoked... not out of random to so called "innocent" people. i went last year and there wasn't any stabbings, shootings or w/e.
