This is why we need capital punishment in this country
If the justice system was perfect, then maybe.
But it's not. Had we had capital punishment we would have probably killed off Guy Paul Morin, David Milgaard, and Donald Marshal only to find out too late that they were not actually the killers they were made out to be. I can also rhyme off several more names if you want. Between one and three convicted murders are released from Canadian prisons after being exonerated each year.
We don't need to kill convicted child killers to denounce their acts and protect society. We just need to jail them, just like we've jailed Clifford Olson and others like him. These people will die in prison unless, 20 or so years down the road we should find we made a mistake. But at least then we can still, somewhat, undo that mistake.

You make valid points, and no you don't need to rhyme off any more I'm not saying execute everyone, but have it as an option for extreme cases. For example, a man robs a store and shoots the clerk, all caught on security tape and at the same time a cop is there and takes down the robber, now obviously this man killed the clerk in cold blood, no question about it, why should I waste my tax dollars to feed and house him in prision? Anyways, lets not turn this thread into an argument for or against capital punishment. Feel free to PM me or make a new thread, lets leave this as respect for a young girl that was taken from us too early

Her death is a tragic travesty, and I feel for her parents who are left to deal with this after publicly holding out so much hope for so long. I have no words strong enough to describe just how badly I feel for them.

There are thousands of children missing every year and if we need to moan for every poor soul, we will be moaning endlessly. It is a sad story, but we need to look beyond it and get on with our lives.
Grief is needed, but not forever. Because what is done is done, and more moaning won't bring her back. She enjoyed her short life on this planet and brought happiness to her parents, though the last couple of days must have been devestated for her to experience. But thank lord she is in a better place now.
Live goes on, love one another.

All I know is that it's very scary knowing someone is walking around in our society who is this sick.
I get freaked thinking about these sick people.
They can be anyone.
And most look like normal citizens.
