I believe Verizon is gsm phones. So the slider will not be avaiable.

Go with samsung, slider or even the nokia

I saw the slider up close, and it does look cool. What I want to know is, will it have great reception and battery life? My 120v is ok......but it could be better though.

Oh man, I just remebered......I have almost 200 entries that I'd have to punch back into the new phone.

Probably going to wait a week or 2......the Bell guy hinted at some new phones that are comming out.....ie, affordable camera phones.........but I still like the slider so far.

For good battery life, I have always found Nokia's to be the best at it. I have had a Samsung before, an Audiovox before, and currently im using a dual band GSM Nokia. I can easily get 4 hour talk time in one charge, or about 1- 1.5 week standby with limited usage. Mind you, my phone is very small, so taking that all into consideration I would think for best battery life would have to be Nokia.

Im pretty sure the Bell Nokia, would have a similar battery to the one that my phone is using, but the Bell Nokia is a color screen phone. (Mine isn't). So battery life could be better or worse.

The Slider:

Digital Talk Time:
- Up to 210 min. (3.5 hrs)

Digital Standby Time:
- Up to 240 hrs (10 days)

(Straight off the website)

I think thats amazing for a small, color screen phone!

Nokia has always made the best phones - at least their menus are intuitive and easy to use.

I tried......they won't. They are willing to give me $XXX towards a new phone, but that money can't be used towards the ones you listed. I'm already getting more stuff on top of the stuff I already have, and they are refusing to add more. I'm still going to try again, but unless I get a nice CS rep, I can't seem to get any more perks.

Oh, and my plan can't be signed back up......but if I go month to month, I can keep it. If I sign for a 2 year again, they can't give me the same plan (supposedly).

I personally think they are lying.

BTW, I was told by a lawyer friend, that the longest a cell phone provider can hold you to, is a one year contract. They can offer 1/2/3 year contracts, but the most they can get money for if you cancel, is 1 year. (Canadian or Ontario laws....or something like that)
