Changing jobs and interviews

Anybody ever done this while still working at place...I'm currently in the process and just feel like I'm always sneaking around the place. Gotta make excuses for leaving or taking calls in seperate rooms...sheesh...pain in the *** really.

yah, you really gotta watch it, someone did that at my current place of employment and got canned the next day...well for obvious reasons...but, I'm currently in the same position...taking a couple calls...the conversion almost fells one-sided...lots of yes', and do I have your email?

Yeah -- but why use them? If I'm leaving I'll get paid out for my vacation days.

Funny thing is I actually like my job...but recently I've been approached y headhunters and the position I'm cuurently interviewing for will be about a 18-20k raise.

head hunters should understand your situation and be calling you after regular hours..
them being head hunters ya'd think they'd be smarter than that..why would risking a person's livelihood make that person wanna jump ship to go with them...would make me nervous if anything cuz of the "meh, whaddever" attitude..

yeah I've done it .. then again I can take my vacation in hour increments.. so I just took it .. makes life easier I don't have to explain my vacation.. then when moving internally in Bell it's simple because interviews are just meetings and I can go on as many meetings as I want

If you have holidays, then use half day and go for an interview. If the potential job will have that much of an increase, what's a half day off gonna do? Plus, you are getting paid for that half day anyway.

You want to save the holidays, but at the same time sneaking around and making excuses to leave job for other business. What's the logic behind this?
