Chinese gov't censorship online

So check this story out.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4088702.stm

kind of interesting. Every blogger in China is supposed to register their website with the government, and words like 'freedom' and 'democracy' are censored by even the Microsoft servers.

What are your thoughts on this?

Should Microsoft adopt a George Bush policy?

I don't think MS is doing anything wrong, as their intent is to make money, not ****** and preach their way of life.

I also don't think it's up to anyone else other than those being oppressed to fight oppression. The internet has always allowed people across the world (who had internet access) to voice their opinions without restraint... not anymore.

More and more I hope to see electricity across the earth give out.

This is similar to an article i saw that sad China is paying Chinese internet users to project a positve image of china online. Im pretty certian that a couple of the users on the skyscrapercity fourm that im on fall into this category. As for mircosoft's action they are governed by the money god so as long China feeds them the green im sure they will be happy.

bangladesh.net?

the highest cause of death is drowning there. you're better off being a chain smoker with a life jacket.

I'd be willing to build pro china government websites for fun if they gave me material.
