CHIPPED PS2....how to...

I have a chipped PS2 and the guy that chipped it told me that there are certain ways to load
1) burnt games
2) original games
3) PS1 games

I know how to load burnt games (just pop the cd in and let it load)
but I forgot the method behind playing ORIGINAL...

something about turning the power off in the back or something...
any insight would be great as i know most ppl on here have chipped ps2

thanks

Why are they illegal??? The PS2 is YOUR property, if you wanna mod it, that's your business. Why aren't DVD burners and computers illegal?? or the old dual tape decks that allowed you to copy tapes?

I just wanna find out where it says they're illegal please. (if it's cool with you Rick)

Oh, and to answer your question-that's not a chip feature, that's a PS2 feature that lets you toggle between PS1 mode and PS2 mode. You could prolly download a PS2 manual from Sony to tell you how to do that. (I heard sum about it, but I also forgot cuz I don't plan to play PS1 games on my PS2).

also, my PS2 is unmodded cuz I never use it

its illegal cause games are copyrighted, so downloading a game, burning it and using this hardware to bypass sony's built in copyright protection isn't that legal sounding to me... i guess the actual product isn't illegal just how its used 99% of the time is

1) burnt games - just load it up like how u load original games. if it duzn't work, turn it off & turn back on. sometimes it takes a few tries

2) original games - just load it up like how u would b4 u modded ur PS2

3) PS1 games (i'm assuming these r burnt too?) - u mite have to turn the power off at the back & then turn it back on, then hold onto the "reset" button until the blue lite comes on. again, u mite have to give it a few tries

It's ONLY illegal to sell burnt material for Profit.
So owning MOD chips, burnt games, well burnt anything, is not illegal according to canadian law. It's selling with intent for profit.

Thats why its not illegal to share all of you illegally obtained MP3'S on the web in Canada and as of right now they cant do anything about it.
YEAH for free music.

SO unless you are a seller of Burnt materials you have nothing to worry about. HAHA and even then there are TONNES of places that deal ONLY in burnt material that do that for a living.... look @ pacific mall....
