Thats a very valid point.

Every year we will plant 1000 to 2000+ new trees (about 6 to 12" tall to begin with) in the spring. Where a 5-6 foot tree used to be we will plant 2 new little guys in it's place which in about 5-7 years will be ready to be picked by a new customer.

It's a never ending cycle and we keep planting more each year. So it's not like when a tree is gone, it's gone for good.

Plus those trees ppl throw away will break down in the soil and give back to the environment.

S'all good...

I thought it was a good point, that bruce made. But i guess anything intellectual to you is emo.

I guess some familys its a tradition to go pick up a tree together and set it up together every Christmas; Which is understandable
For us we use a fake tree, inexpensive and you can use it for years without taking away from the enviroment.

And when you do finally decide to replace the fake tree....

When you throw-away a real tree...it's good for the environment...throw away a fake tree...tsk tsk....not good.

This is my first christmas in my new place with my girl. I would have loved to come up there with here to your place, we even talked about going before I read this post. BUT.. we drove by IKEA the other night, and grabbed a tree from there to support the Scouts. Would have much rather actively gotten my own tree. Sorry  Wish I saw this sooner. GL out there, Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays
