Is it possible to have a folder and lock it. So you have one folder on your comp and when you want to click on it, you need to type in a password. Is this possible?

how do u hide folders?

right click... properties... then check the hidden box..

you might have to adjust the folder options to not show hidden folders though

i lock my **** folders with tweak xp...then instead of the folder being shown it shows a big lock instead...its great!

well the best thing to do is get your own computer cause then you can have a **** folder right on the desktop and nobody can say anything about it

umm...how many different people use the computer? You can make seperate accounts for everyone and encrypt the folder under your account. Noone will be able to access the folder unless they are logged in as you.

but then that means u gotta sign out when u leave the room or whatever...locking is still best!

its that one time you forget to log out that all goes wrong

lol...good to see other's run into this serious tech problem. that's a good idea about tweak xp but they you can run into the person who clicks on it and says "why is this locked??" and you have to give'em the runaround.

i like the hidden files so no ones the wiser. but you just have to do a little extra work

more people know about how to see hidden files....also when people ask about why its locked u just say "it must be windows important operating system files"...cuz also the locked folder appears as an actual padlock icon
