Computer guys- HardDrive problem

I have a Lenovo (IBM) R60 Laptop..

now my C drive is 80 Gigs.. when I check the properties of it.. it says **.5 Gigs used and 8.89 Gigs avaliable...

Now theres no chance im using **.5 gigs.. the single biggest file on my computer is CounterStrike source.. lol.

I open up the C Drive, and highlight all the files and check the properties.. and there is only 20gigs. What is going on here?

I deleted all temporary internet files on and off line..

anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

err recycling the bin is empty..

I do not download music on the laptop or anything..
I dont actually have the 60 gigs of files.. thats the problem it says I do in the properties of the drive...but when I open the drive and highlight all the files and check the properties.. its only 20 gigs, which is about what I really have.

Ive cleaned up, cleared out all temp files.. I dont have any junk on this comp.. except cs source.. lol

.. Its not files that need to be deleted.. its something else.

you don't have that Rollback software on your computer? it is known to mess up things like this and have harddisk space disappear (error in the program)

oh man get rid of rollback, we have them on our laptops from school, but my buddy works in the IT there so he hooks me up with the clean image without any school BS.

what rollback file grows bigger and bigger everyday because it is basically mirror back up all your files etc.

I have an R60, I don't know why you got rid of your image partition though :P its a nice and easy way to re-install windows,

Sounds like you have some sort of currupt page file or currupt drive index etc(w/e its technically called)

get it to run a scan disk, when the computer restarts it wrill run it and probably recover alot of lost files or fix the index, if that doesn't fix it,

Format C:/ =p

now if you have the drive restor on there and you are making weekly backups, that could be causing it too
