computer guys i have a question
yeah this probably sounds dumb but i've searched all over the internet and i still have no idea what im supposed to do
anyway we have a regular PC in my house connected directly to a rogers modem. Im getting a apple eMac for myself and its going upstairs, it says its ready for airport extreme wireless internet..ok so...what am i supposed to do?
i want to keep the PC plugged into the wall and just have the apple wireless..is this possible? ..see i have no idea

If your in a house range doesnt really matter, unless you live in a mansion...I suggest you set up your router by the book since you dont know much about them.
What I mean to say is that your router simply lets anyone connect to your internet if you dont setup properly...if you follow the instructions and put a firewall/password on it you should be fine. My friend didn't bother with his and his internet got shutdown for sending a lot of v1ruses to the area...turns out someone was connecting wirelessly and using his network.
Anyway, Any router is good, linksys, d-link are the most common names that come to mind.
You will probably run into some frustration but trust me once its all done you'll be a pro at it...
Good Luck
