Unhappy Computer networking?!?!?

I want to share files (network my laptop with my desktop. Right now I have the cable internet connected to each of them through a router (hub). One input goes into the hub, and two outputs (one into the desktop, the other into the laptop)

I want to know how to network them in order to have them share files and so that I can use the DVD burner on my laptop to burn files that are present on my desktop.

Can someone please help me out?
Thanks.

Basically, if your using windows XP, goto create new network, and the wizard will take you through the setup. Once you have that set-up goto your devices and check your DVD burner to be shared on the local network.

Only takes a few minutes, hope that helps.

Right click on the folder you want to share and go to the sharing option and give it a share name.

From the other computer click start > run and type in this

\\nameofremotecomputer\sharenameyougavefolder
