all of a suden when i turn my computer on i get this error messge

"0x80040017
a problem preventing windows from accurately checking the license for this computer"

it goes to teh login screen but then loggs itself off then when i try to boot from cs, it asks me for an administrator password? i dont have one nor do i know what that is...can yone help?

my old computer had a similar problem but when i chose repair it didnt ask for an administratior pwd.... so

Solution= buy a mac......lol, sorry, don't know how to fix that sounds like another stupid windows problem....

when in doubt FORMAT ! heheh thats what i usually do .. cause with windows after u get 1 error they seem to stick around and multiply anyways so id say just format and start fresh

yup license is legit and i tried restoring to previous, didnt work same error, and i tried to reformat but it says i need an administrator password, what is that? it doesnt say ne thing on the cetrificate of authenticity ... i know how to reformat but las timte this happened it didnt ask for the admin pwd...

just leave it blank and press "enter".. when i was formating my computer i had the same problem.. just leave it blank. u'll be fine
