Connecting my laptop to my TV!

I need to connect my laptop to my TV

I think I have an S-video port....my laptop is only a yr old ... Toshiba P30

I know the Svideo will give me the video, what about the audio? How would I get audio as well?

The stereo Y adapter such as the one that Cynikal posted, will do the trick.

This is a staple in my laptop bag. I can't count the times I've gone some where and ended up hooking mine up to a stereo to be used as a radio/media payer/cd player.

HDMI is the ONLY connection that gives you both a video and audio sound through one connection

composite also gives you video/audio but it's not digital
