Cops 1 - Stunnaz 0
I'm working nights this week, so I go for a little drive tonight to get some food 'cause I'm staying up late tonight. As I'm driving along Queenston/Main/King in Hamilton (for those who know the city), along comes mommy's Explorer full of punks. I'm going about 50, just cruising, listening to tunes. Explorer goes by me at about 80, in and out of traffic. At every stop light all the way from Stoney Creek to west Hamilton by McMaster, buddy is squealing his tires, and the passenger and the guy in the back are just hooting and yelling at everybody. I stop at a light beside them, and they are totally thuged out. Bandannas(sp), chains, yo this and that at me and the two other wannabe thugs at the bus stop. Light turns green, and away they go again.
So i grab my cell, and call the Hamilton cops Communications Dept. and call in a driving complaint. I give the dispatcher the plate# and description, and a speech about how idiots like these guys give Honda owners a bad name, yadda yadda, and hang up. By now we have looped around , and are going back towards downtown Hamilton. The Explorer has gotten a few blocks ahead cause I was on the phone (I pulled over), and I'm thinking the dispatcher probably did nothing. LoL. I look in the rearview, and there is a cruiser coming up behind me. I pull into the curb lane and roll down my windown, and wave the cruiser up beside me. What do I see? Female cop. Perfect! I yell "green Explorer, up ahead" and off she goes, roof lights on. By this time, from me slowing down, the Explorer is maybe 1km ahead. I can see her booting it along way ahead , then pull over. I slow right down as I pass, and there is the driver with a stupid look on his face, and the cop at his window, ticket book in hand.
Since most accidents are caused by people like this showing off, I think we should all pick up the phone when we see somebody doing something reckless or stupid. Maybe if the cops get these morons off the road, people like us won't have such a bad reputation.

Heh. nice. People drive like that up here all the time despite the fact that OPP headquarters is in town. Cops are all over this town, but usually not in cars, they walk around alot and bike and stuff through the parks.

Man thats classic.
I see this crap all the time in Hamilton too. But most of the time I get cops following me, which is quite funny because I rarely speed.
I hope they slapped those ******* with a big fine.

Last night I was driving home from Sauga on the QEW and there was a woman driving a minivan who was having trouble staying in one lane as well as keeping a constant speed. It looked as if she was intoxicated...so after seeing this for awhile I decided to call *677 (OPP) took down her plate # and a description of the van. I have no problems with reporting anything like that..there is no need for a senseless accident.

Safe driving is a good idea. If he had just let his car "rip the explorers ***" he could have been the one being pulled over and ticketed. Its alright to have a sweet pimped out car, but take it to a drag strip or a track. Its cheap to enter the one around here, like 20$ and you can race all you want for the night.

Actually it would haven been a 127hp rip on his ***.
People like that give people like us a bad name because whenever there is an accident that could have involved street racing, the cops and the media always find ways of involving a "souped-up Honda" in the story.
