Which Credit Card?

I have an American Express Air Miles card but not everywhere accepts it, so I was thinking about getting either a VISA or Mastercard too. Does anyone have any cards that they reccommend? I am preferably looking for something that offers some type of rewards- why not right, if I am using a credit card I might as well get free stuff as long as there is no annual fee.

So far I have checked out:
-TD Green VISA: the one with no annual fee, but also no rewards so its nothing special.
-GM VISA: thought it was really good at first but then it says you can only use up to $3500 off of the purcahse price of a new vehicle. Sure thats a lot but I dont plan on buying a GM so I decided against it.
-Canadian Tire Mastercard: I was thinking about this one because you earn CT money, but I'm not sure if it has an annual fee or not. Does anyone know?
-Cash: Not getting another creidt card, might be a good idea but when I have a big purchase I dont like carrying around a lot of cash.

Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

Younes Si, do you suggest any specific type of Visa or Mastercard?

BEST CARD: citibank petro-point platinum mastercard. no fee, $0.02 off EVERY liter of gas, petro-points on EVERYTHING you buy.

i also have a CIBC dividend platinum visa but will be cancelling it at year-end. why pay for a CC?

Well, I have Canadian Tire MasterCard you rack up those CT money I guess, I also have a TD VISA, pretty good if you want to buy a GM in the future, lol it's basically a GM Card, CIBC Visa is pretty good and you can't really go wrong choosing cards besides going into debt like I am, but mostly is because of school

the Canadian tire mastercard is the best I think.....if you work it out the percentage that you get is higher than the other I think (I don't know about the GM one, don't really care either..lol)......plus when you get gas at CT you automatically get the highest coupon...

I would suggest a PC mastercard if you have your bank with PC, or the petro points mastercard.

Ive got both.

Or save the 35$ annual fee and get this card listed below. Difference with the 2 cards...The one above gets 2 RBC points for every REAL dollar spent. The one here only get 1 RBC point for every REAL dollar spent. Depends what you are going for.

if you like airmails the BMO Bank of Montreal has a mastercard with airmiles attached to it also, so does their bank accounts
and you could fill at Shell and use airmiles and get double...just a little way to cheat and get more points
