3 for me to:
Scotiabank Visa, Bank of Monteal Mastercard (crap), and an American Express (Can't leave home without it!). My limits are pretty low because I got them as a student and haven't applied for a rate limit increase yet.... which, errr... reminds me.....

As long as it has a grace period with no intrest during that period, and a low intrest rate (9-12%) and no anual fee........ then you only need one. :working:

Well, one time I had about 10 cards. I transferred 1cent on each one of them. So, when companies go to check your credit, the only info. they see if that "this guy has 10 credit cards and they all are in credit." My friend works at a credit bureau and suggested I do it. It seemed to work... I got approved on my new car purchase without needing a co-signer.

I've got no cards and no debt. It's pretty cool. But now that I'm 18, I should really go pick up a card with a small limit just for emergency spending..

I have 3..

CIBC Visa #1: $7000.00 limit - Umm, I'm not telling...
CIBC Visa #2: $5000.00 limit - $400 balance..
Citibank MasterCard: $5000.00 limit - Never used this one!

Total Debt? Ummm I would rather not say either but its a bunch.

I actually called CIBC this week on the advice from a teller chick and am getting my 7000.00 limit visa changed to a CIBC Classic Card which only has a %10.5 interest rate instead of %18.5 with an annual fee of 29.00... With the balance I am carrying on that card right now it will save me a TON annaully!

Regards,
OK

Too many.

MBNA Mastercard (no idea what the limit is, I think it's like $5k)
TD Student Visa ($1k limit)
TD Gold Visa (no idea either!)
American Express w/Cashback (limit is like $1k, but the cashback feature is a total joke! 1% per year! Last year I got $4.67 back, lol)
American Express Platnium (for family emergencies ONLY! "Oh, I'm sorry dad! You mean buying pizza wasn't an emergency? But I was hungry, isn't that an emergency?" )
BMO Air Miles Mastercard <--- the only one I use now, wanna rack up those Air Miles so that I can take a vacation to some place warm! Just another 956,322 points until I can take that flight in the luggage cabin to Barbados!!!!!!!

Combined limit: No friggin' clue
Debt: Zero (but knowing that I have the power to go on a mad shopping spree makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside )

With such high limits then I guess that it's good to be able to have funds for when an emergency comes up like if you have to fly to the US where your girlfriend's, third cousin's best friend's mom is sick and you wanna throw a party for when she finally croaks coz you're in the will.

No because you would have to kill me to get them away from me and if I die they are insured.
