Yes it's a fictional book but the author also says that all the times, dates, names are true. The story is fictional but all the historical information he gives us is supposedly true. There is a big conspiracy though in the catholic church. They have oppressed women for centuries. This has been going on since Emperor Constantine REWROTE the bible so that the pagans and christians could both relate to it.

Many of the original books of the bible have been forever lost. There were around 600 originally.

ya, well i'm gonna see the movie too.. the book uses real things but is totally fiction... i don't get why ppl freak out so much about it it's a freakin story!!

and as far as MI 3 goes it was a good movie, for sure way better than the 2nd one... i hate tom cruise too but the movie was good i have to admit..

but ya Davinci Code should be a wicked movie...

 

anything against 'god' makes millions of people freak out. Thats why I won't join the cult. I mean, religion.

Never read the book, I have no clue what the story is about...but yeah i plan on seeing the movie.

There is no conspiracy about this movie in the catholic church. The main reason the Cathlic Church is so against it is its theory that Mary was in a relationship with Jesus. The movie doesn't offer any crazy mind blowing insight into religion. So in no way is this some kind of anti Religion movie. Also everyone keeps mentioning how the catholic church is against it , but really its christians in general. I'm still going to see the movie though, it should be entertaining to say the least.

Your talking about the wrong Mary. The DaVinci Code is about Mary Magdalene. In the story, she is supposedly married to Jesus and they have a kid. The story has nothing to do with his mother.

Yup .. its basically saying she was in a relationship with Jesus and Had children thus not being a virgin. I think people had some kind of idea that it was some eye opening world changing theory.
Either way its not like the movie is saying or proving that Jesus never existed.

I hope you are kidding. Mary Magdalene and the Virgin Mary are two different people. Mary Magdalene is the one that the church has cast as a prostitute and the Virgin Mary is Jesus' mother.

Anyways did anyone see the REAL TRUTH ABOUT THE DIVINCI CODE yesterday on the history channel?

LOL, it was soo funny at the end. The interviewer interviews the guy whom Dan Browne based its "facts" on (the author of Holy blood, holy grail) and he asks him "Do you have any proof to back your claims"?

The author replies on camera, "No I have no evidence, this is purely hypothetical, BUT it is PLAUSIBLE.

MUAHAHAH. The interviewer was like duhhh dumb pause for like 10 seconds.

They basically answer how the Priry of Sion is a hoax (has the 40 page confession from the guy who made the hoax) and everything about the Divinci code.

Dan Browne makes Divinci look bad eh? Charges a false claim on Divinci.

Haven't been to church in years.
But I pretty well grew up in one untill certain events happened that have left me on the edge concerning religion...and well...God himself.

haha it's funny cause people think it's real and such...it's funny cause religion it self is a bunch or unreal half truth fairy tales. I mean a "virgin" giving birth fairy tales etc a virgin being a very symbolic thing back then etc, it's so lame that people actually believe in that crap. Do you have any idea have narrow minded and crazy peopel were back then ..? I mean if I went back then wearing clothes from now they woudl think I was god or a demon and stone me to death. these people back then were barely outta cave man mantality and you want to believe in their crazy fairy tale.

I dont' want to read the book and watch the movie cause it's just a lame way to get attention and to stir up something as contraversial as religion to make MONEY!!!! it's about money!! look at everyone who has read this book adn will go see the movie.
