Sup guys.. im only 15 i know.. young.. anyways

my bro drives an EG ... been in love with civics ever since he got it .. but ever since i saw this one black del sol with the buddy club body kit.. i just kinda fell in love so hopefully by the time i have my g2 (next april) i should have my sol.. now i was wondering a couple things..

1. Is it true they have a leaky roof?

2. Is it truly a girls car...?

3. Do you think that honda will come up with a newly designed Del Sol anytime soon?

4. Is it a good starter(first car)?

This is the Sol i fell in love with.. someone posted the pics from a show a short while back.. and ive been SOL-ful ever since.

1. I've heard of it, I believe there was a recal for it, however the roofs still make lots of sounds

2. That is in the eye of the beholder, if what other people think of your car bothers you a lot, then maybe you should buy a mustang or a truck

3. No, honda has shown little interest in anything economical and sporty that is not another model of civic (like the new Si)...and I think you'd a new CRX before a Del Slow...but thats unlikely also

i dont mind a little bit of noise in the roof i guess.. would it help if i was to get the rubbers re sealed?

i heard of roof leaks too. I personally think that del sol is one of the sweetest i've seen period. if i was in the market for a sol that one would be the one. something just says beautifull about it. someone else also clarified the whole guy or girl thing on del sol. If the sol is stock, girly........if it's done up, manly. If i saw a cute chick driving the one you posted, it would make her super sexy, if i saw a dude driving it, i'ld just give him props on the nice job he did. starter car, any car is a starter, it's not like it's a bike. for insurance proposes, i never looked into it for a car like that so make sure you check around with different companies.

ive had my del sol since i was 18 (8 years now) only ever had teh roof leak once and it was in a hard rain storm. ya people said it was a girls car--but it also attracts alot of girls. people who were telling me it was a girls car were either driving there parents cavalier or walking so they can suck my left nut. it was my starter car and its been very reliable. they are expensive tho

my cuz has a sol (typeRdelsol) and the roof leaks like a bastich!....and yes he has replaced all of the seals......

its a cool starter car as long as ur willing to take ur friends and everyone else making fun of you for buying a chick car.......

but...then again.....it could be worse.....u could buy a precidia(sp?)

Del Sol is a great car for sure...

however I think if your looking for a convertible (I know the del sol isn't a convertible, but its close), I'd look at a miata also, RWD, convertible, perfectly balanced, extremely fun to drive....definitly a consideration also....
