your going to university?
i thought ur 15.

bro between now and till you graduate and owning a car that you are modifying inbetween will change your education ALOT.

you will see dropping grades because you start skipping school more cuz u can go anywhere u want in ur car with your friend and whats more cooler then going to another school at lunch n crap and then not returning right? thats the way it has been happing forever. then lets not forget after school you will be driving around and chilling more outside with other car guys, go to the meets, go and modify your car etc basically less time with education and more time with your new toy especially if that toy is beaten a little and needs some tlc.

honestly at age 15 you dont even a quater of the things that will happen between now and by the time you turn 17.

i really thank you for the advice, but im not your average teenager, i have perfect attendance both years grade 9 and 10, i skipped only on the "national skip days" and went and chilled at my friends house, im in a laptop program(all my compulsories are on laptop) my parents paid 3000 and i paid the other 500 for the 4 years, so i know my parents expect lots of me, im never gonna skip to go chill unless its the day before christmas break, march break etc. im an honor roll student, you guys sound like my mom lol its not a bad thing, cus i understand you guys dont want me running the same path you saw you friends go through, or even yourselves but dont worry, hopefully it won't happen.

i just gotta worry about saving up right now, and then when the time comes, i'll make up my mind, until then, school, school, and more school.

*cough* where do you work young man??? how to you expect to drop all that money and pay insurance?
if you plan on going to waterloo id buy a **** box and use that money to pay for your schooling... because university is like 10k a year if you plan on living in rez. trust i bought an 2000 civic cx in gr 11, cost me just under 10k and now i work 65 hours a week to pay for university and it sucks, i should have bought a cheap car just to get me from oak to guelph on the odd weekend and used to rest to pay my 1st years tutition.

have you check the insurance quotes for a del sol? my 16 yr old brother, if he gets my cx, his will be like 6000k so i couldnt imagine how much more it will be on a del sol espcially if you mod it

that's what everybody says. But only time can tell..

It's all good and fun to think about your first car when your 15, but honestly.. you sound like the typical 16 year old.

'my brother has connections, i'll buy a junker and do body work to it.. do a swap, it'll be so sick'

Guys who work full-time have a tough time doing that, trust us.. its not as easy as it sounds.

you guys can say whateverr you please, its not going to change my mind, im stubborn like that. and stop saying "your gonna spend more money fixing it than modding it" cus i clearly stated that i was gonna look for a decent shape one, no i dont plan on swapping engines as i wont have enough money. you guys can go on but ive made my mind

jessica... i totally understand the hole university costs should come first so that i wont have to pay osap... my sister owes osap a hell a lota cash and shes still doing her masters... thanks but i got it under control.. i hope.

yes i probably do sound like the average 16 year old, but thats always a good sign, im still 15, im ahead of myself haha but seriously, i dont mind, cus i'm not doing this to please anyone other than myself.

THANKS.

i dont care how nice ur car looks if u didnt work hard for it your still a ****in retard
i AM paying for it, if my parents decide to give me ANY money, its going to go into insurance... and i'll end up paying their insurance one day.. you never know

no offense to you, you are 15 and you dont have the slightest idea of what the costs related to car ownership are. when ur car is in the shop everyday then u'll see.

get ur education first, cars can come later
