Digi Cams?

Whats a good place to buy one? I don't want to have to deal with FS and Best Buy but if the prices are right then why not? And BEst camera out right now in the 4.0 mp range? Leaning towards Canon . Anyone have any advice?

thanks

Panasonic LC43 - 4.3 megapixel .. 3x zoom I think... comes with Leica zoom lens (if you know anything about cameras.. Leica is really good)
Even comes with recharable batteries.

I work @ best buy

I'd only buy a Canon or Sony, but that's just me cuz I'm ignorant

To me, it's like someone saying "here, but a Kia Rio - it's got 4 wheels and an engine just like a Honda Civic"

Canon S400 if you want a real nice functional portable camera. It has amazing pictures and read/write speeds aren't that bad. Otherwise Sony and Nikons are good as well.

S400:
Dimensions: 3.43 x 2.24 x 1.09 in./87.0 x 57.0 x 27.8mm (Excluding protrusions)
Weight: Approx. 6.52 oz./185g (Camera body only)

A80
Dimensions: 4.1 x 2.5 x 1.4 in./103.1 x 64.4 x 34.7mm
(Excluding protrusions)
Weight Approx. 8.8 oz./250g (camera body only)

An "elph" camera is just another series of camera by Canon. It's name denotes "compact size".

You should take a look at Canon Canada's web site. They have comparison charts there between their camera models.

Sony and Canon are the way to go when looking for a digital cam, IMO. They may seem expensive, but I think that the cost is justified.

Read this thread about the A80.

IMO I like the flip out LCD screen 1) protects it better 2) can take pics at different angles 3) and of yourself

I thought that screen can flip around, and then you could put it back...but with the screen facing outwards towards you?

Then when you go to put it away....pull it out, flip it, then put it back. Presto, the screen is protcted.

That's what I was told.
