AzimuthX Call it what you want but in the end the Courts the lawyers, the judge, the jury, the police, the reporter, the newspapers, the tv stations...all call it the same thing.... hell even me a guy with certain abilities and experinces I can't even talk about (for fear of loasing my job and the allergy I have to jail cells with cell mates named spike) we call it hacking because that is what it is...Although on a second note I might just call up a lawyer (man this is going to cost me ohhh well there goes my suspension parts) and ask him to pour over the law books and see what it says about tampering with decoding equipment.

your 15 AzimuthX, take it for someone thats had experinces with this being niave and calling it "TESTING" will not protect you from the law (if there is one I'm still looking into that as per above) well I think the only way to get you to listen would be to lay out my experinces...too bad I ain't doing that (once again my allergy to jailcells with cell mates named spike)

yes it is illegal...and yes they all go down, even emulation....testing is a naive work...I remember when they used to say listening to mp3's is for educational purposes and must be deleted in 24 hours

This is incorrect as well. Hu cards are the best as long as you have the little 'magic programmer(loader/unlooper)' that hooks up to your comp. as soon as your zapped and your **** gpes down you place your card into you comp and download a new program from a provider and your up again in about 5mins

oh yeah, and i do get all the channels

You can modify a Bell ExpressVu satellite to get channels which you are not paying for, but as others have mentioned, getting Canadian signal without paying for them is illegal, and Bell and the other media giants (Including Rogers) won't let most people get away with it, if they can help it.

You are better off getting a Dish Network satellite. THey are a bit pricer (almost twice as expensive) but they don't get zapped as the DirectTV does.

I beleive recently a new law was passed which also makes it illegal to steal American signals.
