Don't get big box retailers to do installs

This is what happens when you get big box retailers to do your audio installs. Imo, futureshop, and bestbuy in the same situation. I would say there are a lot of incompetent people that work there. I would go to independent audio shops.

You would be surprised to know how many accident claims they have, or how many little things break that they wont tell you about. I know of a car that went in for a remote starter to a local big box store and walked out with $9000 in damages. They accidentally drilled into the main harness. Even with this being said, I can't say that the smaller "pro" shops are any better. If you have the knowledge you better stick to doing it yourself.

This is very true. When my brother was working for Future Shop, he had bought me a 2-way for my birthday. He suggusted I get it installed there as well b/c it was basically next to nothing. So, fast forword a few years back when I had my auto trunk released installed by Davis, he found it was a hacked job. Never again will I ever get these big box "professionals" to do work on my cars.
