Driving school

...not the advanced driving schools, but the ones you usually go to when you hit 16 years old to get driving and in class lessons...

Can anyone recommend any?
It's been over 10years since I've gone and now my brother just turned 16 and is looking for in class/road lessons.
Thanks

Young drivers is too expensive. I went to All Star, but there may not be one in your area. YOu have to look around. They are all recognized now, and all pretty much the same. You should be able to find in class lessons, in car lessons, around 10, think you need 10 hours, and your test for no more than 400.

I may be wrong, but I have heard of people paying around 700-800 for young drivers.

What city are you in? The smaller ones are better to go to since they charge less. Young Drivers isnt worth it at all, way to expensive.

What is driving school good for, so your insurance will be cheaper? If so, by how much?

Your supposed to get an insurance break which I did, but its nothing really that significant. Not like its worth it to take driving lessons for the certificate if you already know how to drive.

I went to Young Drivers, but its overpriced and in someways what they teach you is unrealistic. Its no better then any other recocognized driving school. For almost half the cost of YD you can get the same from somewhere else. If you have the money you can go with YD they are very thorough.

My father gave me the lesson back in the days and I just went for the test and passed it on the first try. I never compared price but when I was paying about 600 a year as a secondary driver. But that was 13 years ago.

If you know someone who has good driving habit and knowledge, learn from that person and just go for the road test.
