My Adidas Sambas have turned out to be perfect for driving shoes... they're narrow, very thin soled and the tread grips well to my pedals.

I've gotten use to driving with my safty boots on (steel toe, sole and heel) and as result I can toe and heel much better with my boot's on than with my runners

Re: driving shoes

i've heard that wrestling shoes make great driving shoes, when on track...

but to switch shoes each time when going out is ridiculous...

i usually wear my jordan 1's, any pair of chucks, and sometimes the adidas shell tops...

but i love driving w/ my jordan 1's..narrow, thin soled shoes make great driving shoes..

Ronald MacDonald style clown shoe, even better than steal toe .
Well at least for those heel toe'er's that use the sides of each foot as opposed to the actually heel and toe.

You can also pick up a pair ot Ronald's old shoes cheap now that he's unemployed

Ya, barefoot is the best I found, but not the safest I hear. I never had a problem How about those... rubber diving shoes with the kickass grips. Those look to be good.

Ugly as hell too.
Most of the shoes nowadays are ***. Walk into a Champs or Athletes World, half of the shoes are shiny, plastic or made of some other wierd *** materieal. I don't like them

I had some old airwalks that I loved to driving in, since the soles were thin, and they didn't keep my feet hot.
Now they suck too, the soles are worn out and now TOO thin, I can feel the pedal's shape when I press it. They also smell really really bad, no matter how much of the Dr.Scholls I spray in. Maybe its because I wore them last year pretty much the entire summer with bare feet??

As long as the soles are relatively thin, and the shoe is supportive and not bulky, it should be good.

I used to want Lugs, then I tried them on... feels like you attached a 2x4 to the bottom of your foot. I bought Phat Farm boots instead, they are sooo soft and supple.

I can usually wear any shoe I want.

I wear Rockport dress shoes, Nike Air Metal Max, and Nike ACG boots.

PIck one and one of those will be on my feet when driving.
