driving to the states......

Hey guys,

has anyone recently drove to the states?
Hmm, when crossing the border I heard that because of all those terriost attacks and stuff, they are really strict and in order to get pass the border u need a passport?

Well Im 14 and I dont want to spend $60 to make one just to go there,

i was just over last night...just make sure u have your birth certificate on you...i was with my family so they never asked for anything...but i donno wat they saya bout young teens goin over and if they ask them for stuff or not...one of these days im gonna go over to my friends house in the states and see if they hassle me at all...

yea
i was gonna go with my cousin, and we couldnt get a rental car on time so we decided to go next time, then my dad told me that u need more than a birth certificate now

DL and Birth certificate. That's what I use.


You need 2 peices of ID. If you don't have a DL, then cough up the cash for a Passport......or go with your parents.

BladeX, if you have your health card with your picture on that, it may work since it is government issued and has a pic on it

i told my dad I shoulda got one but he said no cuz then I would have to renew picture,

maybe i should get one

yeah but i think they're like $60 also, i have to go and replace mine and my licence since both were stolen

heh if your in high school maybe you can use your photo id from that :P
i know i used that for my licence

im just lucky, i have a canadian citizenship card with a pic of me on it that never has to be renewed (although i should, im like a yr old in the pic )

but yeah, im pretty sure going for something like the health card is another $60 bucks, so either way it looks like your going to be spending some cash!

btw for radar detectors what happens when they find out u have one?
is there a fine or they just take it away

I agree with your dad, there's soo much hassle once u got a photo id health card, every two years u gotta renew it, screw it, keep your old non pic white health card.
