Diamond Star Mitsubishi (ie. the way the Plymouth Laser, Eagle Talon, and Mitsu Eclipse were all essentially the same car).

Man you guys are such rookies!

You guys have no idea what can go fast.

DSMs are quick!

With a stock Talon with + some small change you have a AWD turbo machine that runs 12s and 13s

Heres a tip for you fellas, start reading some info on non-hondas

Hi JSK,
What kind of small changes that you talking about there?
Bigger Snail or else? 12s and 13s...that's faster many modded Honda cars out there!

Simple Cheap *** do it yourself mods can get DSMs into 13s.
Their pit fall however is the stock tranny which is weak to say the least. If you want big power you need an upgraded tranny however this is true of some muscle cars too.

DSMs are truely awesome cars. Hondas just don't measure my in my opinion.

expensive complex mods can get a bubble back in the 13's....

how are dsm's for handling though?? i've personally never driven one and on paper they are quick but can they handle with a civic?? i'd assume they are a bit heavier though

AWD. A DSM can out handle a Civic.

Civics are nott he best handling car out their nor do they have great bang for buck.

Think of the Turbo AWD DSM as the WRX of the 1990s

with a stock turbo and simple bolt ons you're looking @ low 14s high 13s

Dial up the boost to 18 psi and you're in the very low 13s

I recommend that you do a search on the net if you're interested.

Theres an abundance of information on it out there.

The 1st generations were the 'bulletproof' models. The new ones, 2nd generations which are the 94+ models are known to have really crappy trans and many of them get crankwalk cause of it which means you can pretty much label your car a lemon.

If I were ever to buy a DSM it'd be one of the older models, but damn are they ugly

All gens of the talon/eclipse had a crappy trans. Big deal imo.

If you have interest check out the www.vfaq.com and read. You'll learn a lot.
