Question Eagle Talon? Car under $10 G's

Alrite, so I'm hopefully (praying) going to be getting a car by the end of July and I'm looking at my choices right now. I have about $10 G's to spend and I'm looking for an already modded car or one that I can cheaply mod.

Rite now I am very interested in the Eagle Talon's and I'm wondering to know what YOUR take is on this car.

Also what other cars would you recommend that I could get under 10 grand and why?

Thanks in advance.

Why would you buy a modded car? It's almost guaranteed to been drivin the crap out of. Plus, do your own thing and personalize it to you.

Talons are fast and have potential, but they are horrible for reliability, and they drive like **** from my experiences. Parts and work aren't cheap either.

i want a modded car cuz then I don't have to spend all the money doing it myself cuz it's already done.. obviously i'll still personalize it but it just makes it easier

Promoking care to explain how they drive like ****?

I've driven them, and they all felt like *** for some reason. Maybe they just weren't taken car of. And they feel cheap inside.

Don't buy a modded car, you'll regret it later.

talons are cheap versions of eclipses. both will break down. 95-99 had a huge problem and many had to be rebuilt.........lots of lemons out there

stick with import (the eclipses are mitsu but made in same factory as talons ..... they just had diff styling............i think it's a chrysler plant)

true, most people who mod drive their car to ****, may look nice but how much time b4 u have to dump into a new engine / parts?

10g for a talon is a bit much as well 10g is alot you can get alot of cars for that much...

key to talons is buy a virgin one wiht super low km's for like 4000-5000 then throw a few mods to it and don't rape the **** outta it and you will be fine also you should be abit mechanically inclined to do your own work on it.

coles notes.... had one, loved it, ran 13.2 in the 1/4, turbo + awd = fun... insurance =

back in the day... oldschool style. I love the hidden X drilled+slotted brake upgrade unseen in the pics

But in all honesty, those cars are the biggest pieces of **** you'll ever come accross. If you really want one, goto www.ca.dsm.org.

^^^^^ Very smart man indeed. I'd buy a 91 mr2 shell and do it up nice... actually might be doing it over the winter....

Talons are nice cars... But its a waste of money if you dont buy the turbo oned. But then if you buy a 2nd gen turbo talon, it develops crankwalk... So you best bet if you want to get a talon... Would have to be a 1st gen TSI.

ya, I would stay away from a modded car for the reasons people posted above....if this is your first car you might want something more reliable than a talon/eclipse
