Earthquake in Chile

This was an 8.8-magnitude quake and it's frightening to read all the tsunami warnings that have been sparked because of it.
Anyone with relatives there, hope they're ok.

Apparently it was enough to every so slightly effect the earth's rotation, so I heard...

It was more like an almost undetectable tiny fraction of a second, but anyways...lol

" NASA geophysicist Richard Gross has told the Bloomberg newsagency the quake sped up the rotation of the earth enough to shorten the day by an estimated 1.26 millionths of a second. "
