Electrical guys look here!!
Now that i gots ur attention Im going into 4th semester of electrical engineering technician-power, and i think its about time i should buy a good quality multimeter, my ideal just isnt cutting it anymore. I've been looking at the fluke website and saw a few basic ones that caught my eye. I just wanna know what you guys are using and how much did it set you back?? Any stores around the GTA that you recommend?? Im looking to spend around the $300 mark.

$300 will get you a good Clamp on MM for sure.
Fluke & Greenlee are pretty much top performers, anything else is decent but wont stand up to abuse over time or stay accurate.
A true RMS clamp on multimeter will get you through any job you could think of.
Graybar sells them but I dont know if you need a company or not.

not sure on the price, but give fluke or greenlee a call and see how much they charge to calibrate it. Youd only have to get in done once in awhile after they have been used awhile, but fluke are pretty good for staying in spec, but for something like electrical work it woulndt matter to much if it was off 500mA or something.

Def give a couple of them a call cause sometimes I find those electrical outlets overcharge on items, its more for the convienience to contractors to shop in one place.
Active Tech also sells Fluke but Im not to date with their prices
