EXPENSIVE printer ink..

I went to the mall today and I was looking for some black ink for my printer. Found it at Grand and Toy. It cost 48.99 + TAX! DAMNIT! I didn't even pay that much for the printer! It's ridiculous.. Anyone have any ideas on how to save money on buying ink (please no smart *** comments

).. Anyone have any hook ups for ink or something? I'm not willing to pay like 60 bucks for ink unless I really really need it.. Kinda sad.. Sorry, had to vent!

Alright cool, maybe we can do it after a meet. And only invite a select few.

OH and about the printer ink, last yer one of my printers ran out of ink, went to Future Shop and found out the cartridge was $60!!

I ended up buying a new printer on sale, which came with 2 free cartidges, for $50.

those prices are ridiculous!

i'm glad i dont use my inkjet printer anymore. now i use this laser my dad got from work along with like a dozen toner cartridges

you can try using those refill inks where you poke a hole into your original cartridge and squeeze the ink in there...

my ink is pretty expensive too, my Canon printer has 4 separate colours so i you run out o magenta you can buy only the magenta colour same for the other colours, and there are 4 colours, magenta, yellow, cyan and black, each colour costs $18 black costs $15

!

I know of a couple of people who have tried the refills and they said it was messy and the quality of the ink just sucks!

I'd say go refill too, BUT when you buy the refill ink..DO NOT BUY any other ink other than whatever came with your printer in the first place! I did that with my Epson printer and it SUCK'D *****!!! All my printouts have like a shade of grey ontop of it and it's no fun :cry:

Okay.. Looks like I'm gonna have to try the refills route. Hopefully it'll work. Otherwise it'll just be a waste of another 25-30 dollars. And that would just suck big time..

just remember after you've refilled the printer run the printer diagnostics and maintenance.

I refilled the ink. It took a little while and a lot of messy hands, but it was worth it.. Only cost me like 25 dollars and I get 3 full refills.. It was tricky though cause the printer nozzel had dried up. But all in all, This is a better was to save money..
