Favourite place for dinner with a broad?

where do you like to take your significant other?

the woman likes asian food, primarily chinese or thai. she rarely uses chopsticks though.. tsk tsk

i'm a big fan of thai myself, but it's hard to find good places in scarborough, and i don't believe in driving downtown just for dinner.

any suggestions outside of seafood are welcome. or turn this thread into a mockery, either one is cool.

no chains/franchises.

Does it have to be Chinese?

My wife likes Canyon Creek and Big Daddy's, which is a very good cajun place.

nowhere really expensive.. we've been together for almost two years. i'm not trying to impress her with my wallet.

i always impress her with what's in my pants.

just kidding. she laughs and i contemplate suicide all the time.

seriously though, just casual dining.. nothing like the CN tower.. i hate yuppie places like baton rouge or milestones. if anyone ever makes me to go milestones again, i will seriously put their teeth down their throat.

right now, i'm leaning towards remezzo's (or whatever) at VP and sheppard.. or Spring Rolls and yonge and eglinton (really good, clean, and i respect anyplace that is technologically up to date - the waiters take you order with a pda with bluetooth.)

remezzo is at warden/sheppard=P....but anyhow, seems like you have an idea what you are going for, but between the two i would suggest the yonge eglinton place mainly because i haven't been to remezzo's and my friend told me good things about the azn place near eglinton/yonge area

Try Big Daddy's. Its very, very casual and has an authentic New Orleans feel. The crab and shrimp is awesome. Their Creole sauce is the best.

spring rolls is excellent. i've been to the one near lawrence market. i'm guessing it'll be the same caliber.

this post isn't necessarily "where should i go?"

if people post where they like, other people can get ideas too.

i've found pho to be very hit and miss. i still only really like pho88, and i usually end up tossing half the meat in my bowl cause it has so much fat instead of actual meat. they had way better meat quality a few years back.
