Angry **** My Previous Employer City Auto Parts!!!!

Okay, some of you know where I USED to work and some dont...In any case ***** them up the ****!

Here's the story of why...

So, months ago I decide I wanna goto Australia for my vacation this year. I inform my bosses that I wanna goto Australia for a month (2 weeks paid and I'm on my own for the other 2) they are cool with it and I buy my ticket in like june I believe and start saving up thousands for dollars to support myself for the month I'll be down under. Everything is all cool, I'm tellin all my clients I cant wait to go on vacation and that I'd be back in a month etc etc etc...

My time for departure comes so I get my pay before I leave on the friday like any normal friday and tell the guys at work that I'd see em in a month when I get back. All is dandy and I leave like any normal time anybody would leave on vacation (expecting to come back).

A most excellent month goes by in Australia, completely awesome, best time ever in my life

Oct 21 2006, 1 day since I get back my co-worker/good friend gives me a call to see how the trip was and informs me of some shady activity thats been goin down at work this is basically what was said "yo man, I dont think they are gonna let you come back to work, *insert name of boss here* told me that they dont want you back". So, naturally I'm pretty pissed for variety of reasons.

1. Nobody told me my job was in jeopardy if I took this vacation

2. While I was there everybody wanted me to stay longer but my concern was coming back for work

3. The weekend that I left was the BIGGEST party weekend of the year where I was staying (Indy weekend)

4. Its damn cold here and I came back for nothing

Oct 23 2006, I go into work 8am like normal before I left catching a ride with my buddy. I walk in and say whats up to my boss and whats his response? Nope it wasnt "welcome back, how was your trip" it was "what are u doin here, didnt you get the letter???"

NOW WHAT THE **** IS THAT????

Damn *****, you damn well know I was in Australia and I just got back on the 20th...so damn no, I didnt get no letter, nor do I know wtf you are talkin about.

then conviniently the phone rings and its my other boss so, oh its for me...and he's all like "I told you before you left that if u have to goto Australia then thats what u gotta do" and yea he did...but according to his stupid british *** that translates to "Matt, we cant allow you to go on vacation for a month if you do go for a month then you have no job when u get back"

HOW THE **** DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE????

If they told me the consequences before I left then

1. I could have rescheduled my trip for a shorter length of time

2. Just told them "okay, then thanks for the employment for the past 6 years...I'm gonna stay longer in australia"

3. At the very least email me while I was there and I could have stayed there longer than a month and came back when my friends came back

But no, none of this happened...I basically came into work blind and expected to work and then I got a big fat **** rammed up my *** sans the lube and kicked to the street.

I've lost all respect for these 2 guys which I thought of as family and especially after being with them for 6 years...I could care less if I ever see these guys ever again and I cant wait for the day that they get what's coming to them for their selfish actions.

Sorry for the long *** post but goddamn yo, who does that kinda thing????

**** City Auto Parts, dont goto them for parts...dont support these selfish bastards.

In the end they basically cost me everything...I'm broke, no car, no job...**** Them!!!!!

C and R at City Auto Parts can eat my *** with a spoon

god damn matt, i'm sorry to hear that...

that's really fvcked up... were you there full time for 6 yrs? you should atleast get some sort of severance or something.... depending on company policy... the fact that they weren't clear about it... that's real shady you must have some legal recourse... not to get your job back, but to get some money from those bastards~!

yea man i would look into possibilities of being compensated properly since trying to get ur job back isnt even wanted at this point ... but yea i dont think they can legally do that ... u should talk to some HR peeps ... but if its a small independant company it might be hard to do ..

i remember BMO kinna got ridda me the same way .. but they gave me a day off to move and bascially "put me on call" after that day with no intention to ever call me to work again ... it was ****ed i was so pissed i dealt with it thru BMO HR and i was compensated a few G's ...

Its probally not even worth it. I mean you did get Boned Hard and thats a raw deal - but by the time one of those pencil pushers (labour board) gets around to it.... you know forever.

Sorry to hear that Matt, hope you found a new job already.

trust me .. its worth it .. especially if hes nto working .. u might think its just a waste of time but wrongfull dismissal is wrongfull dismissal and depending on how much he made he could get a good chunk of change for 6 years .. i was only at BMO for i think 2 years and i got something like 6-7 months pay for a Wrongfull Dismissal ..

thats too bad....i suggest you get a lawyer cuz doing it on your own through a labor board is tricky. but lawyers need money too so it sucks more.
