either have them ship with USPS or ask them to put under $20 in terms of declared value for customs. if they cant do both...it is better to buy locally.

isnt it remarkable how car parts/mod businesses in canada take advantage of this situation by selling parts at a huge huge premium?? most stuff gets shipped here into NA from taiwan, china, far east/ japan etc....so the cost to the seller in US or Canada should not be very different...but prices are.

sucks...

its a shame, here at some local stores the header is 299+tax = $341 CAD

I find it for $118US plus $50US to ship = ~$187 CAD

what a difference!

noticed that with my wheels, ebay sells them for like 400 bucks...almost 800 here...and im sure they cost 20 bucks to make

the part is too large for usps to ship

better yet with DHL.

I have a small package coming in from the US. The driver leaves a notice on my door w/o the AWB#. WTF!!! I called the 1-800 # and the CSR can't tell me anything w/o this number. ie. where it is, etc

The package should be on it's way back to USA as we speak.

i'll tell you a trick...

tell the guy to send it as a "gift" OR put a low value on the item, as in quarter or half of the value. If he sends it as a gift, you pay 0 customs. And if he puts low value, you don't pay much.

Thats how i get all my parts from the states.

if your item is shipped by air into canada...then UPS wont charge you any brokerage fees. the duties still apply.
