take it to hospital or clinic just to make sure all is well.. infection may be a factor if the wound was not cleaned appropriatley and may delay healing time.

wound should be cleaned on a regular basis, probably once every 2 days to prevent infectoin.. normal solution of sterile water should do the trick.. or just buy some normal saline ....

btw...dont give him any aspirin...it's an anticoagulant.. will make bleeding worst.. give him tylenol...
