yeah go to start, then click on run and type in this firefox.exe -p

with nothing else opened, then a little box will pop up and if there is more than one profile being showed...thats your problem....cause for some reason it can create new profiles and then its like you just downloaded firefox all over again....you start fresh.

so just find which one is the new one and delete it, then close that and then start firefox and all should be well

tried typing it in run, but it doesn't work. the only profile that comes up is default, and that one doesn't have my bookmarks

hmmm ok, how long ago did you switch over to firefox from explorer....if it wasn't too long ago you can always just import your bookmarks from explorer back over to firefox

Try running firefox in safe mode?

You can always export your bookmarks to an html file for future reference incase you didn't know.

This has happened to me as well, lost all my bookmarks, a lot of them were useless anyways. I actually ended up formatting my comp to start completely fresh lol.
