I go to my cottage to fish regularly, I've had a lotta luck recently. Try out a couple of small lakes

i fish too much, its a bad habit.

do you have a boat? Tackle (alot?)? rods, reels?

I have 4 rods and an assload of tackle and 3 boats and a quad.

All used for fishing, haha.

Umm, how far do you want to drive?

Go to island lake in orangeville, no boat license needed (electric boats) and they open at 6am i believe. $80 a day for boat rental. I havent gone this year so i dont know how the fishing is but it has been amazing in the past. Good sized bass and pike, and lotsa perch if your hungry!

Rice lake is definately over fished. I went on what would be considered a good day for fishing, (cool, overcast, little bits of rain) spent 9 hours straight on the boat and only caught a small rock bass along with a few tiny perch.

I haven't tried it yet, but one time when I go to Florida I'm gonna take out a chartered boat. 50-100 miles out and you can catch sharks and dolphins.(not bottlenose)

rice lake is a weedfest...so shallow and sooooooo weedy but you can pull some lunkers from under the docks and lilly pads...but its a pain in the *** to fish...thats for sure!
