Female drivers!!! I KEEEEEEED!!!
Reversing motorist runs car up a pole
Residents of an Etobicoke neighbourhood were baffled yesterday by a bizarre accident that left a car leaning upright against a hydro pole.
"Nobody saw how she managed to get it up there," said Sandy Keith, a resident of the street. "Nobody can figure it out."
John Stewart, who awoke to find the car on his front lawn, said as many as 100 people came to see it.
Around 7:30 a.m. yesterday, the car collided with a pole on Cavell Ave. near Royal York Rd. The driver was unharmed, but her car remained stuck with its rear end up the pole for more than an hour.
The accident occurred when the driver backed her car into the pole, said Constable Wayne Thomas of the 22 Division traffic unit.
"The driver was accelerating very quickly, in reverse," said Thomas. "The car rode up the guide wire that runs alongside the pole."
Thomas said the pole was not seriously damaged in the accident. Damage to the car, however, was extensive.
The woman had freed herself from the car by the time police arrived.
The car was pulled down by a tow truck just after 9 a.m.
"They brought it down gradually, because it could have tipped either way," said Stewart.
Victoria Salomon said the accident was hard to believe.
"It almost looked like the car was put there."
Police charged the driver, a woman from Richmond Hill, with impaired driving.

ok back car up to guide wire .. then slam on gas car goes up guide wire and as soon as drive wheels leave the ground, it stops then wire snaps and car leans against the pole ... the fun part is trying to get it all lined up (balanced) to easily work like that.

I say she had a massive hung over from May 24 party and was in a hurry to get to work and beat the traffic.
Ya, she sure beat the traffic alright. Her lane looks pretty open to me, totally zero congestions...

LMAO
Actually I know one broad who though it'd be cool for her friend's car to hump a pole. She got confised, and instead of hitting the brake, she floored the gas.... right up one of the support cables. But it wasn't nearly as bad as this one.
