Funny Story, offensive farting

Jefferson Post, Jefferson, Oklahoma - A class action lawsuit is being filed against an Oklahoma man over the extensive smell of his flatulence. Tenants of a Jefferson communal condo apartment complex say they have had enough; the smell of their fellow tenant is unruly. According to tenants, Ronald Tusk, the man accused of having offensive flatulence, keeps a well maintained flat and by all other circumstances is a well liked neighbor. However, one neighbor, Rosa Alvarez describes the situation “[Mr. Tusk] just farts really loudly and continually. He never stops. You can hear him going down the apartment hallway and the smell is awful. My children are ashamed to invite their friends over. The smell is always in the air.” Tusk’s lawyer has advised him not to speak on the matter until they have had a preliminary hearing at the Fulford County Superior Court.

I thought I'd try my hand at writing some news. Sorry to say that the story comes purely from my imagination but, apparently some of you thought it was funny (and real).
I was hoping someone would call me on it.
(Really! Would the Washington Post actually cover a story about a man from Oklahoma with uncontrollable farting?)
