anyone here work in futureshop has employee discount? if so, how much discount do u have?

futureshop employee discounts depend on what you're buying. They get next to nothing off computers...but if you're buying car audio it's major markup. IE when I worked there $499 10" rockford hx2 was $499 retail and like $169 our cost.

i know at bestbuy they give cost +10%... it should be the same at future shop cause there the same company really

Yes, but different things cost different amounts for the store. Car audio like I said has a retarded markup. But, things like laptops are way to competitive to be marked up alot so you'd save like $30-$50 at most on one. Tv's were good only if you got a decent one that was worth a few hundred $$$.

i heard that futureshop changed their employee discount, it used to be cost + 10% but now its just 15%...so basically just saving tax. Not really sure of best buy

ya I work at Best Buy and both us and future shop are cost + 10% and the mark ups are HUGE in car audio and Home Theatre I looooove the discount...

my buddy used to work at the new best buy here in st catharines and he had a regular discount but he said that once a year they get this 80% off(something like that) thing of anything in the department they work in so he bought the high end rockford subs for like 25 bucks........that what he said anyways, not sure if he actually got the stuff...

just mostly home theatre and car audio....media and computers there are minimal markups if any...like for instance on a xbox we buy it for $199.49 and sell it for $199.99 and for a dvd $25.99 we buy it for $22.99..home theatre and car audio is another story..I got some sick rockford 6x9's that we sell for $189.99 for $90 bux and some 6 1/2's that we sell for $149.99 for $60.00.Bose floor speakers we sell for $1200 we get for like $700 it's CRAZY....
