Then go for a hybrid. You don't plug those in since the electricity is all generated by the car itself though stuff like regenerative braking and such.

Don't complain, it's a Civic!

I've taken to driving my dad's Nissan Maxima since he's away on business and the gas costs me about $50 a week for around 500kms. Same distance in my Civic would be half that cost in the $25 to $30 range.

Gas isn't actually that expensive though... yes it is compared to what it was just a couple years ago, but in Europe where the price of gas is a couple dollars a litre, it really makes you think about how good we have it here in Canada.

Exactly, well Japan isnt bad, there was a time when Japineese was like china but through lots of hard work and lots of lost $$ they learned. They have a reasonable strong economy now on the worlds status.

The chineese use a lot of oil, expecially in manufacturing of plastics (crude oil)and other forms of manufacturing. They do the same amount of work that we do but rather then using machines and technology they use labour. Labour there is very cheap. This causes people in china to live very poorly.

They have free trade agreements with the majority of the world so they dont have to pay taxes for there products to enter our country.

Iam using china as the exapmle because they are the biggest at this although not the only ones.

Ya its really not. I once saw on tv a comparison to other liquids.
Gas was cheaper them them all. Including bottled watter.

but in europe they have a much better transit system, with the subway being able to bring you practically anywhere. so alot of ppl end up busing which saves alot of money. not to mention that the trafiic jams there are killer (especailly when some of the raods are smaller and older) the toronto system really sucks compared to theirs so i really have no choice on whether or not i drive or bus.....

It's probably like a catch-22 situation:

More taxes on gas = more $$$ for gov't to invest in infrastructure for public transit or roads

That is, if the gov't is committed to spending that money on transit problems instead of on elaborate meals for visiting dignitaries and strippers

i never complained about people using msn... just the email itself.

it's not something one would call 'professional'.

My 10 year old cousin writes better.

$30 on gas is nothing.. I laugh when people complain about gas and they drive economy cars.. one reason why I like my civic is that how it is on gas. I made it to Ottawa with one tank... the difference for most of us is negligable. If you drive a hummer, that's a different story, but for us, lining up to save a few bucks is a waste of time.

I don't thnik he was complaining about people using MSN.

He was trying to show that his employee is an IDIOT because of his english.

We need are MSN me and paula.

Maybe a better way to put that would be,

Paula and I need our MSN accounts setup?

As for Gas filling.. I always fill up 91+ in the H22.

I drive about 600-700KM/Week so I'm looking at about $40 a week. I get like 500/tank in the winter as long as I don't go vtec crazy and drive over 140km/hr on the 401.

I remember thinking man this is a lot, then one day I pulled up to a pump right after a big ford truck and saw his bill of like $102 dollars or something. On top of that, the guy probably is back filling up within 400KMs.

The most I ever filled up for was $1.14/litre. It was at sunoco getting 94 octance (thats all I fill up with)

It was pretty crazy, but still, bill only came to like $38 or something like that.....nothing bad

Driving a truck now (Triton V8 Ford) and I just filled up at 72.3 and it cost me $62. I get 500-600km outta the tank.

I will not complain when I drive my civic.......

I never even look at the price of gas.. Why bother? When the tank gets low i get some gas, a few cents a litre difference doesn't have a big effect on my bill. Then again i only go through a tank every couple weeks...

Thanks Brad ^^ I remembered when I first came to Canada, each fill up would be around $20.00, and how people complained when gas prices went to five something, now when I see seven something, I rush to it lol
