I've dealt with this before....you have to pretend you don't want it.

Or in the case of the baby seat...you show her why it's superior in keeping your child safe than other car seats and she'll go for it....

It's worked for me before in similar situations...

When you go to Mod your car just say its regular maintenance. Unless she's super crazy smart like the one I have and goes onto TCC to educate herself lol
