I don't know either, but my point is that fact that who gives a crap if your picture is taken at the shelf when the store already has the power if filming almost every move you make in the store- and they've done so for years... While I admit the whole anti-theft thing is a load (why not just put sensors on the products?)- it's not a bid dang deal that someone knows you bought razors.

[list=1][*]For shops selling many relatively cheap items this would cost more than it's worth (you'll note that clothing and CDs often are tagged).[*]If the thief makes a getaway the camera hopefully has a record of his face, both as evidence and to help find him.[*]Having tags on items is no good if someone just comes in with a sawn-off and takes the money from the till.[/list=1]

they had a nice article on this in adbusters last issue... gilette isn't the only company doing this... it just get worse and worse.... so we'll all have chip in our heads and the government can track us where ever we go
